Austin, TX April 3, 2007. Golf Inc. magazine has recognized Sevierville, Tennessee´s Bridgemont Resort development and the City of Sevierville´s Eagle´s Landing golf courses as one of the nation´s top ten golf development projects underway. The list includes some of the biggest names in golf with developments and courses by Jack Nicklaus, Pete Dye, Greg Norman, Gary Player, Tom Kite and Nick Faldo joining Bridgemont, among others, as honorees.

Winners were recognized at the Golf Inc. Awards Gala, held at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. Bridgemont’s recognition is noteworthy as the Golf Inc. award identifies the largest national newsmakers in golf development during the past year. It is the first time a Tennessee-based project has ever been recognized.

The City of Sevierville´s Eagle´s Landing golf courses are situated within the 1000 acre Bridgemont Resort development. Modification is underway on an existing 18-hole championship course which will soon be joined by a new 18-hole resort course. Each course has been specifically designed to take advantage and preserve the natural beauty of the area.

According to Faye Randolph, Director of Golf for Eagle's Landing courses, “We’re doing a lot of things environmentally to make the Eagle’s Landing courses at Bridgemont spectacular. We are utilizing our natural features and resources to create a truly unique golfing experience. Due to our location, most golfers’ expectations may be that of a mountain course. Since we are located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, we also have incorporated islands, lakes, creeks and valleys to really take it to the next level.” Both courses are expected to be completed and ready for play in the spring of 2009. Construction will be managed so that 18 holes of golf will always be open and playable.
